If you are looking for an appetizer to make or bring to parties, but are tired of the same old chips, veggies and miscelenous dips, this recipe will surely be a touchdown! And I will give you fair warning, YOU REALLY CAN'T HAVE JUST ONE. I mean anything wrapped in bacon is delicious, but then drench it in bubbly melted brown sugar? Sold!
Before my boyfriend and I moved to New Jersey, I taught Preschool at a school in Pennsylvania. Every year for our classroom Halloween parties, one of the other teachers would bring in zombie fingers as a fun snack for the children to eat. Why call them zombie fingers? Well, because once cooked, they can resemble a zombie finger in the mind of a 3-4 year old. I tried one, shamefully went back for 10 (or 20) more, and knew that I had to have the recipe. Long story short, I made these bad boys for a football party we hosted once and it immediately became a crowd please among my friends and family. We can't go to parties anymore without being asked to bring these with us, and when we do, we get yelled at by friends who show up after they are all gone because we didnt save them any!
Prepping Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 14 oz. package mini beef franks
1 package cold bacon*, cut into quarters
3/4 cup brown sugar
Toothpicks
*It is easier to wrap the franks with cold or semi-frozen bacon instead of at room temperature because of the texture it maintains when colder.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cut bacon into quarters.

3. Wrap a slice of bacon around each mini frank and secure with toothpick. Place on either a baking sheet or a casserole dish.
4. Sprinkle brown sugar over franks and place in oven for 40 minutes. Drain grease and enjoy!
